The West Tarring branch of the Mother's Union is part of the Chichester Diocese Mother's Union and has particularly close links with the Eastbourne Family Contact Centre. Afternoon meetings are held in The Old Palace at 2.15pm on the 4th Tuesday in the month. Evening meetings are held at 7.30pm on the 2nd Wednesday and Venues alternate. 

In March 2020 its work was highlighted nationally when, in conjunction with Worthing Hospital, members were featured on the BBC TV's Songs of Praise programme for Mothering Sunday.

This year Mother’s Union celebrates its 150 anniversary.
