Baptism

It is a great joy that you wish to present you child for Baptism, or be Baptised yourself, at St Andrew’s. Baptism is an ancient rite of passage, older than any other type of Christian ceremony, Jesus himself was baptised as part of his preparation for the life and work that God was calling him to.

Baptisms take place on the third Sunday of each month at 12pm. There may be more than one child baptised in the same ceremony. The Sunday before there will be a short walk through/rehearsal at 11.45am after church, you are also warmly invited to attend church that week. We ask that at least one parent (both if possible) attends a baptism meeting, baptism meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm.

If you are interested in booking a baptism for a child or adult you can contact us via the Parish Office at 01903 700547 | parishoffice@standrewwesttarring.co.uk or the Parish Intern at tarringinter@gmail.com or Fr Steven at rectormaybridgetarring@gmail.com
